Wellness in the Wamphray Water – A River Adventure

Join Emilie, from Galloway Fisheries Trust, to find out more about how to river ecologists explore the health of one of our River Annan’s most stunning tributaries, the Wamphray Water.
Emily will be joined by Phil, of Dumfries and Galloway Woodlands, we will take a walk up the Wamphray Water through some stunning ancient woodlands and beauty spots building up a better understanding of its biodiversity and which species of fish and trees thrive here.
Finishing up at the Wamphray Church for tea and cake and an opportunity to view an 8th Century Celtic/Norse carving where we will discuss how it depicts the surrounding river and the ancient oak woods.
Please wear sensible shoes/wellies and weatherproof clothing. The ground can be uneven in places with uphill parts to the walk.
