The annual celebration of the River Nith is back on Saturday 23th August. There are lots of creative family friendly activities to get involved with on Mill Green from 11.00am – 5pm.
Keeping at its heart the spectacular fun of the river race, the procession through town, The Progress of the Salty Coo, and its festive atmosphere, the Mill Green brings an array of free creative activities and events with an environmental focus celebrating the river and looking for new ways to understand and sustain it.
The boats are due to arrive around 1.15pm so bring a picnic and enjoy the spectacle! A Nithraid Picnic Menu will also be available from Bonnie Bistro at the Robert Burns Centre and the Coach and Horses on the Whitesands
